6 Things First Time Home Buyers Don't Know They Need

Congratulations – you’ve just bought your first home! Now you get to make your house a home with one of the biggest interior design projects of your life. Filling the rooms and drawers of your new house may be a bigger project than you’re prepared for. While you’re focused on couches and appliances, more than likely the smaller household essentials have completely slipped your mind. Here's everything you need, you just don't know it yet. 

Kitchen

A Fire Extinguisher. Although this could be used in more places than just the kitchen- First time home-buyers are usually not experienced when it comes to the world of cooking. We get it, Roman Noodles, and PB&J's can't last forever. If it's your first time behind the stove, do everyone a favor and have a back up plan. Remember- if worse comes worst, Domino's is always ready to save the day.

Garage

Everyone thinks about hammers, and screw drivers, perfect for hanging your newest artwork, and pictures in your new home. What everyone forgets about, are recycling bins. Don't be the person that throws away perfectly good cans, and re-usable items. Get a recycling bin, and take care of the environment. 

Bathroom

Life happens-and sometimes you need a toilet plunger. Plumbing situations can pan out one of two ways: just fine (if there’s a plunger readily available) or hideously ugly (when there’s no plunger to be found.) TIP: Buy a plunger before you need a plunger. 

Living Room

After hours and hours of research and multiple trips to furniture stores, your new coffee table and side tables have arrived. Now you get to have people over to show off your new place. You’re so excited to host people until you see it, something that you never imagined would bother you as much as it does: a cold, perspiring drink creating a water ring on your gorgeous coffee table. The horror. Do yourself a favor and invest in a set of coordinating coasters to scatter around your living room.
